In the Elementary Program at Samskrithi Academy, children ages 6 to 9 use the skills they’ve learned during the Primary years to begin exploring the world around them in a meaningful way. Students begin to develop a love for learning along with proficiency in the areas of reasoning, socialization and imagination.
Elementary-aged children interact with the unique Montessori curriculum and educational materials to continue their journey toward abstract thinking. By beginning to organize previously learned information, students prepare for advanced studies in adolescence.
An Integrated Curriculum
The Elementary Program strives to nurture children’s critical thinking abilities and vision of the world and universe around them. Our integrated curriculum spans a vast array of subjects, including ecology, chemistry, anatomy, art, music, physical education, reading, grammar, drama, history, mathematics, language, literature, geography and others.
With more than a century of success, the Montessori program gives children the skills to move beyond memorization and recitation of facts into critical thinking. Students feel empowered and engaged by the process of learning as they work both on their own and with peers under the guidance of their teacher.
